Still going north, this is the small village Ørnes. The ship(Hurtigruten) will be here a short time, the next harbour is Bodø I think😎
On my way to Lofoten and Røst.
My award winning film “hunting the light” is now online on Vimeo with english subtitles and bonus features.
This is a short movie from the old church ruin at Røst, Lofoten.
These two images are quite unique.
It was like magic in the air. We enjoyed the sight of the lighthouse, when it suddenly started to snow. The light reflected the snow, and the magic appeared above.
On the second image, it had stopped snowing. That´s why the light is weaker, but still a nice shot, although the first one is my favorite.
This weekend I´ve had two beautiful days far out in Lofoten, actually as far out as you get. The island is called Skomvær, quite a unique place both for people and sheeps.
Please push HD in the window above 😉
I light painted a ruin last week:)
The ruin is an old church from Røst, Lofoten. It was buildt in 1839, but soon it became too small and back in 1899 it was replaced with another church.
A great spot for photography. Soon I will show you more versions of this picture, with more northern light around.
After one week it’s time to leave Røst. A fantastic place far out in the sea, and good times filming.
In some days I will post some more beautiful aurora boralis photos.
See you soon!
Last night the northern light appeared above us:)
Good days in Lofoten, Norway.
One of theese days we had a beautiful trip with the sailboat Storeggen in Ålesund.
We are making a film about Storeggen, the building of it, and the history of theese fishing boats existing in Norway at the 1800 century. This day we did some recordings with Tom Larsen.
Kristofer and Tom.
This is from Glittersjå, cycling in the woods.
I can´t really remember last time I experienced a rainbow like this monday. We had a family gathering at our holiday house, and on our way back home this beautiful rainbow appeared.
We did almost lost the ferry…
First I did use a Sony RX100 IV, but unfortunately the lens was not wide enough. After some running and gunning I took up my Canon 5D MarkIII with a 16mm wide lens.
This is the church of Åram. Here I use the Sony camera.
The ferry we took from Åram to Larsnes. Still using the Sony camera.
Here I am on board the ferry. Actually is was as yellow/orange as this. Now I use the Canon fullformat camera with the wide lens. I´m very happy I had it in my car.. This picture was impossible with the small Sony camera.
This was the scenery when turning the camera all the way around.
When arriving further into the fjord, a different light appeared. Not as yellow as earlier. And we still see the second rainbow.
Getting closer to Larsnes. Again I turned the camera all around.
This is Larsnes, my hometown. Nice with the rainbow all around;-)
Of course I could not stop photographing as long as the rainbow followed me. Here I have moved to Gjøneset. The rainbow ends where I photographed the first photos earlier.
A quick trip on the local mountain today, Drageskaret.
Still a bit snow in the heights.
This a showreel that I´ve filmed and edited. Please turn up the volume and enter full screen, enjoy;)
This photo were captured my last day in Lofoten, Røst. A beautiful morning appeared, and I almost lost my ferry back to Bodø.., a five-hour ferry trip. And 24 hours to the next one😆
The photo is taken by SonyRX-100 IV, of course in RAW format. The colors actually was like in the picture, just incredible. No extra editing in photoshop.
Today heavy clouds were above us.
Im still testing the new SonyRX100-IV camera. And this afternoon it was quite dark outside, but I think the camera managed it quite good. This first photo is maybe a litle blurry, but the other one´s is good.
The graveyard at Røst.
A lot of fish racks at this island.
This week I have a trip to Røst in Lofoten, a beautiful place at the edge of the world.
Did a trip on my local mountain this saturday, and brought my new compact Sony RX100 IV.
Here is some examples from the trip:
As you see, I played a litle with the panorama function in the camera. I have to use more time to get it right. I think the resolution is not good enough in this mode.
The RAW files seems to be quite good.
